Onyx Solar has successfully completed a photovoltaic curtain wall project at Convento City Park, located in Mexico City’s most active logistics and distribution submarket. This state-of-the-art park comprises seven buildings with over 1.6 million square feet dedicated to logistics and distribution, making it a key asset in the region. The photovoltaic curtain wall, installed on the main façade of one of the park's buildings, spans a total area of 1,456 m². Made from Amorphous Silicon Photovoltaic glass with medium transparency, the wall seamlessly integrates with the building’s architecture. The laminated safety glass not only ensures structural strength and durability but also allows for natural light to pass through, creating a balance between aesthetics and energy efficiency.
The choice of amorphous silicon photovoltaic glass for this project aligns perfectly with the building’s energy goals. The durable laminated glass also ensures long-term performance and safety in an industrial setting. By integrating photovoltaic glass, Convento City Park enhances its environmental credentials, demonstrating how modern logistics hubs can balance high performance with sustainability in one of the busiest areas of Mexico City.
