INCREASE

Effective advancements towards uptake of PV integrated in buildings & infrastructure.

Programme: HORIZON EUROPE. European Commission.

The INCREASE project aims to boost the adoption of integrated photovoltaics (IPV) across Europe. The focus is on driving innovation and development at both the module and system levels while optimizing the design and operation of IPV projects.

Module-Level Developments:

  • New Encapsulants: Utilizing advanced resins and additives to enhance module lifespan and add fire retardant properties.
  • Innovative Coatings: Reducing glare and improving anti-soiling and anti-fouling properties of glass.

System-Level Enhancements:

  • Modular Prefabricated Systems: For building envelopes and lightweight roof panels.
  • Ventilated Facade Solutions: Making façades more robust for safer installations.
  • Photovoltaic Noise Barriers: Designed for railway applications.

These advancements will be validated through 9 demonstrations across diverse applications, including urban furniture, multi-residential buildings, and office spaces in 6 European countries. The project involves a multidisciplinary team of 22 partners from 7 countries, including both industrial and research organizations.

Project Status: Ongoing.

Supported by the European Union’s Horizon Europe, Innovation Actions Programme, Grant Agreement No 101136112.
