Private Residence skylight featuring Amorphous Silicon Photovoltaic Technology Glass by Onyx Solar

PRIVATE RESIDENCE · VERONA, ITALY

NEW CONSTRUCTION

Onyx Solar has integrated photovoltaic glass into a skylight at a private residence on Lake Garda, Verona, Italy. The installation uses amorphous silicon photovoltaic glass with a 10% transparency level, allowing natural light to fill the interior while maintaining the energy - generating capabilities of the photovoltaic glass. In addition to providing an abundance of daylight,  it filters out up to 99% of ultraviolet radiation, offering an extra layer of protection for the residents. This innovative skylight generates enough clean energy to power 61 light points throughout the home, significantly reducing its reliance on traditional electricity sources.

EXPLORE THE INNOVATIVE FEATURES OF THIS SUSTAINABLE ENERGY PROJECT

The choice of photovoltaic glass for this residence was particularly suited to the specific needs of the project. The semi - transparent glass ensures that the house remains well-lit without sacrificing energy efficiency, making it an ideal solution for a residential setting. Furthermore, the thermal insulation properties help maintain a stable indoor temperature, reducing the need for heating and cooling during the year. The sleek, modern design of the skylight also adds aesthetic value to the home, blending seamlessly into the architecture while serving as a functional, energy - saving feature. This installation demonstrates how photovoltaic glass can be effectively integrated into a luxury home without compromising on either style or sustainability.
