SEAMLESS-PV, funded by Horizon Europe, aims to advance the integration of multifunctional photovoltaic (PV) solutions across various sectors, including infrastructure, transportation, and agriculture.
Key Details:
- Objective: Develop cutting-edge, flexible automated PV manufacturing equipment and processes to enhance customization and reduce production costs.
- Scope: 18 EU partners, including ONYX Solar, are involved in demonstrating the technology’s adaptability and extending its use beyond current market limitations.
Goals:
- Create advanced, flexible automated PV manufacturing equipment using high-efficiency c-Si technologies.
- Scale up new processes to introduce innovative features and lower production costs, boosting market competitiveness.
- Develop new colored glasses, foils, and printing technologies for customized patterns.
- Produce IPV products that are efficient, cost-effective, and market-ready.
Actions:
- Conduct nine real-world demonstrations: five in BIPV, one in highway acoustic barriers, one in vehicles (VIPV), and two in agriculture (AGRIPV).
- Develop sustainable photovoltaic composites focusing on recycling processes.
