SENIORS RESIDENCE · MADRID, SPAIN
Onyx Solar has installed a photovoltaic pergola at the "Primavera" Seniors Residence in Coslada, Madrid. The installation consists of 48 opaque amorphous silicon glass modules, designed to generate clean energy while providing shade and comfort for residents.
This pergola generates over 5,000 kWh of renewable energy annually, helping to prevent the release of 4 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere each year. With an installed power capacity of 4.3 kWp, it contributes to both sustainability and energy efficiency for the residence.
The photovoltaic glass used for this project was the ideal choice for a seniors' residence, where creating a comfortable, energy-efficient, and sustainable environment is essential. Amorphous silicon glass is known for its ability to perform well under diffuse sunlight, making it a perfect fit for the climate of Madrid. The opaque design ensures that the pergola provides ample shading, protecting the residents from the intense summer sun while still capturing solar energy to power essential functions within the building. This installation aligns perfectly with modern architectural trends, combining functionality, aesthetics, and eco-friendliness.
