Onyx Solar has installed a cutting-edge photovoltaic canopy at Xsche’s House, located on the renowned Paseo de Gracia in Barcelona. Designed to offer both shade and comfort, this canopy is made up of 70 high-efficiency crystalline silicon glass modules, each measuring 1,650 mm x 850 mm.
These safety-enhanced photovoltaic glass modules, with a power capacity of 140 Wp, generate approximately 11,710 kWh of clean energy annually. This sustainable energy production powers over 600 lights throughout the residence, significantly reducing energy costs while preventing the emission of over 7 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere each year.
The canopy not only optimizes energy efficiency but also enhances the aesthetic appeal of the residence with its sleek, transparent design. Its ability to block harmful ultraviolet and infrared radiation further improves the overall comfort of the home, creating a cooler outdoor space in Barcelona’s warm climate. Additionally, the integration of photovoltaic glass aligns perfectly with the homeowner’s goal of adopting renewable energy solutions, combining modern architecture with the benefits of sustainability.
