Embarking on a revolutionary journey in urban development, Cascada by Solterra stands as a beacon of sustainability and luxury. Onyx Solar supplied the custom-designed triple panel photovoltaic glass panels made of crystalline silicon solar cells, to cover the solarium of the building and the swimming pool. The photovoltaic glass offers a 27% visible light transmittance level and a U factor of 0.14 BTU, turning it into a super-efficient building enclosure material, since it provides outstanding thermal insulation, balanced natural light, and clean, free electricity for the building.
The photovoltaic glass selected for the St. Cascada Wellness Center was precisely tailored to meet the building’s sustainability goals and design requirements. Its seamless integration into the solarium and swimming pool not only supports the energy efficiency of the facility but also enhances the overall wellness experience by allowing abundant natural light to enter these key spaces. The photovoltaic glass also plays a vital role in maintaining comfortable temperatures, which is essential in a wellness center where environmental control is critical to ensuring a soothing atmosphere.
