BILBAO KUKULLAGA STATION
PHOTOVOLTAIC SKYLIGHT
Onyx Solar has replaced the existing glass roof at the Kukullaga-Etxebarri metro station in Bilbao with photovoltaic solar glass.
A total of 133 double-laminated, diamond-shaped glass units in 35 different sizes will provide users with a pleasant experience in the building.

It is a walkway-type building built in 2017, which due to insufficient solar control of the glass that covered it, users and workers suffered the consequences of the rise in temperature due to the greenhouse effect that occurred on sunny days.
Onyx Solar's glass in Crystalline Silicon technology will eliminate this greenhouse effect using cells at the highest possible density, to reduce light transmission as much as possible.
In addition, thanks to the new photovoltaic skylight, they will be able to enjoy clean and free energy, which with a peak power of 72kWp will feed 3,500 points of light, thus reducing the electrical costs.
